The 2020 Northern Junior Championship has been canceled due to COVID-19 (more information)

ELIGIBILITY: Entry is open to any male or female amateur golfer who has not reached their 19th birthday on or before July 29th, 2020. All players must be an amateur golfer as defined by the USGA, and must not have entered their first year of college.

The first 65 Boys and 28 Girls applying by June 28th who meet any one entry category will be accepted. Should spots be available after June 28th, selections will be made on a weekly basis to applicants meeting a criteria until the field is complete.

REFUND POLICY: Any player who withdraws prior to the application deadline of Sunday, June 28th will receive their full entry fee refunded.

Note 1: Players who apply to the Northern Junior Championship and successfully qualify for the Girls Junior PGA Championship July 28-31 in Port St. Lucie, Florida) will have their full entry fee refunded without penalty upon request of withdrawal.

Note 2: Players who gain entry into an AJGA event and choose to play the AJGA event instead will need to withdraw by July 5th to receive a full refund.

Awards Ceremony and Trophy Presentation

FORMAT: All players will play 18-holes of stroke play on Tuesday, July 28th and Wednesday, July 29th at Great River Golf Club. Starting times will be from 7:00am to 1:30pm both days. There will be an awards ceremony and trophy presentation following the conclusion of play on Wednesday at approximately 6:15pm.

ELIGIBILITY: Entry is open to any male or female amateur golfer who has not reached their 19th birthday by July 29th, 2020. All players must be an amateur golfer as defined by the USGA, and must not have entered their first year of college.

ENTRY FEE: Entry Fee of $240 includes complimentary practice round, two rounds of tournament play, lunch on both tournament days, tournament towel, player gifts and invitation to Players Reception on Monday, July 27th.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: All players will be notified of their acceptance electronically via the e-mail address listed on the application. All players who are accepted into the event will receive an official players packet, which will contain information regarding practice rounds, hotel accommodations and tee times. All players will also be required to complete a media questionnaire. All applicants who are not accepted into the event will have their entry fee returned.

PLAYERS RECEPTION: All players are invited to attend the Players Welcome Reception and Dinner on Monday, July 27th at 5:30pm at Great River Golf Club. The cost of the dinner is included in the entry fee. Parents and Guests are invited to attend the reception. Dress will be golf course casual (collared shirt, golf shorts/skirts or pants). All players are encouraged to attend the event but are not required to do so.

REFUNDS: Applicants may withdraw from the tournament before the application deadline date, Sunday, June 28th without penalty and their full application fee will be returned, less a $15 service charge. Once the application deadline has passed, those applicants that are accepted into the tournament field will not receive a refund should they choose to withdraw.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: The tournament committee reserves the right to shorten the event due to inclement weather. If the tournament is shortened from 36-holes to 18-holes, no refund will be given. All participants would still receive all tee gifts and lunch both days. If the tournament is cancelled and no 18-holes scores are posted, a partial refund will be given to each participant. The remaining entry fee of each participant will be used to cover tournament and course costs incurred before the event.

CODE OF CONDUCT: All players are expected to abide by the Northern Junior Code of Conduct and penalty for breach of the Code of Conduct is immediate disqualification without refund.
